Inma Femenía

Femenía’s artistic practice explores the relationship between matter and visual perception, and shows her connection to the digital world. She brings together the virtual and real world, proving her interest in language and imagery constructed through screens. Her work has been exhibited internationally in the United Kingdom, France, Italy, Germany, Portugal, Colombia and the United States, among others.

Among her recent exhibitions are Free Fall in IVAM (Valencia, Spain, 2017); Live Today, Tomorrow Will Cost More in Praz-Delavallade (Paris, France, 2017); Tension in Centro Párraga (Murcia, Spain, 2016); One Size Fits All in The Ryder Projects (London, UK, 2016); Rugged Terrain in Beta Pictoris Gallery (Birmingham, Alabama, US, 2016); Bête Noire in Musart (Berlin, Germany, 2016) and Offene Ateliers in Atelierhaus Dachauer (Munich, Germany, 2015).

Inma Femenía holds a BA in Fine Arts and an MA in Arts Production from the Universitat Politècnica de València, Spain. She received various awards during her studies. In 2013, she moved to Berlin in order to continue her research and start exploring the relationship between art and industry. Two years later she returned to Valencia. She was recently featured in media such as DARDO Magazine or WRPD Magazine. In 2017, she was nominated for The Paulo Cunha e Silva Art Prize in Porto and received the Senyera Prize for Visual Arts of Valencia.

In recent years, Femenía’s work has been acquired by institutions such as DVC Collection, Per Amor a l’Art Foundation, Bomba Gens and the Generalitat Valenciana.
